In a growing child, what they do with their mouth will determine how their teeth, face, jaws and most importantly airway grow. Pediatric dentists see little mouths all day and the habits that might be having a consequence on how they grow. In this presentation, you will learn not only about normal dental development but how a dentist's knowledge of OMDs can influence how a treatment plan is constructed. Most importantly, how collaborative care can provide the best long term outcomes for patients and how to create relationships with professionals in your community.

meet the presenterS
Dr. Ophir Alalouf is a specialist in pediatric dentistry. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. Dr. Alalouf completed his dental school training at State University of New York Buffalo. He then spent three years for postgraduate training at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, specializing in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Alalouf has lived in Montgomery County since 1997 with his wife Tracey and three children.

After receiving education in laser dentistry, he continued to seek out education related to myofunctional therapy and pediatric dentistry. This was to understand the process and provide the best treatment possible. Now he implements a myofunctional approach to his pediatric dental practice, Kid's Teeth LLC in Rockville, MD.
