Social Media Overwhelm Is Real—Here’s How SLPs Can Show Up Authentically

Instagram. TikTok. Reels. Hashtags. Algorithms. 😩 If it feels like promoting your SLP practice has turned into a full-time job—you’re not alone.

The pressure to show up, stay on trend, and always be “on” can drain your energy fast. But social media can work for you—when it reflects you.

You don’t have to “do it all.” You just have to show up consistently in a way that works for you.

Try this:

  • Repurpose one piece of content across multiple platforms
  • Focus on connection over performance
  • Share what you actually care about—not what the algorithm wants

Start by identifying your core message. What do you want to be known for? Simplify. Create one post and share it on Instagram, email, and your blog. Talk about the same topic with slightly different angles. Stop creating from scratch every day.

And finally, let go of the pressure. Share what’s real and useful, and your people will find you.

Marketing your practice or services doesn’t have to be a stress spiral. Let’s simplify it.

Simon Says Speech offers plug-and-play social templates and branding resources to help you stay visible without burning out.
